Cloud storage is a folder on the internet that you can access from any device. You can open / save files to this folder just like any other. Saving a file using one device will automatically sync it to your other devices (e.g. save a file using a Windows PC and then open it on an iPad).
You can also make certain files / folders available to other people (on a read-only basis or with full editing control). These will then appear in their cloud storage for easy access.
SIGN UP TO A PROVIDER
If you don’t already have a cloud storage account, you can sign up to a free provider:
- Dropbox - www.dropbox.com
- Google Drive - drive.google.com
- OneDrive - onedrive.live.com
SET UP YOUR IPAD
First, install the cloud provider's app:
- Launch the App Store.
- At the bottom, tap Search, and then search for the cloud app by name.
- Find the correct app and tap Get (or the cloud icon if downloaded before).
- Once downloaded, launch the new app and sign into your cloud storage account.
Next, link the cloud app to the Apple Files app:
- Launch the Apple Files app.
- Tap Browse at the bottom (if visible).
- At the top of the left sidebar, tap (...) or Edit and choose Edit Sidebar.
- Under Locations, enable the cloud app and tap Done.

Save to cloud
Clicker Writer
To save the current Document to cloud storage:
- Tap
and choose Send As. - Choose a file type:
- Clicker Document - compatible with our software.
- Microsoft Word Document - compatible with Microsoft Word and most other writing tools.
- Text File - simple plain text without formatting or pictures.
- PDF - a "digital printout" that can be viewed on most devices.
- In the iPad sharing popover, choose Save to Files.
- Select your cloud app (or a folder within it) and tap Save.

To save the current Book to cloud storage:
- If the top toolbar is hidden, tap to show it.
- Tap and choose Send As.
- Choose a file type:

- In the top-left corner, tap < until you see the sidebar.
- Select your cloud app.
- Browse to your file and tap it.
